Kayak Explore -- Cebu - Bohol Crossing
A prelude to launching the 125km kayak marathon and flotilla crossing is the Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu Kayaking Eco-Games and Forum. This day is intended to show the sporting challenges and fun aspect of kayaking with its relevance to community-based efforts to provide livelihood and capability building opportunities. Local participants will be coming from some coastal municipalities of Cebu and Mactan. This will be held on December 3 under the new Fernan Bridge hosted by Lapu-Lapu City Tourism Commission and the Sports and Events Bureau.
From Mactan Island, Cebu to the Island of Bohol, kayakers will cross the 125 km scenic route passing through a motley of islets coves, mangroves and river deltas. From Punta Engano down following a 5 km coastal run along Mactan Island passing through resorts and other sites, then on to Olango, down to Getafe, Bohol.
The race and eco touring flotilla will then move eastward towards Panglao passing through coastwise and municipal waters; stopping by at designated control points where local packages and tours are introduced. Coastal municipalities participate with their local cuisine, products and cultural presentation.
The crossing would have four (4) components, namely:
b. Kayak Clinics and 5km Novice Races
c. Flotilla – For pre-booked tourists, supporters and sight seers who would be riding a banca following the route of the paddlers for the entire trip, stopping at points of interests, eco-cultural tourism sites and attractions in the coastal communities along the way;
d. Eco tour day, overnight and 3Days/2Night packages available from Mactan to Getafe, Tagbilaran to Tubigon, Maribojoc and Panglao.
This three-day event would have overnight sleep-overs at locations in Tubigon and Maribojoc. Finish line is set at the Bohol Beach Club, while awarding ceremonies and a victory party to be conducted at the Dumaluan Beach in Bolod.

New Hangout in Cebu
I admit I have just heard about it few days ago. I bet not a lot of Cebu people have heard of it for it just opened barely two months ago. This new hangout is just right across the Parkmall in Mandaue City, just along the new building of Cebu Doctors University. It is a roof top bar located in Adnama Building, North Reclamation Area, Cebu City. As the name implies, it is situated at the 8th floor (roof top) of the building. Fortunately, I was able to visit it with friends just last night. Unlike any other hangout and nightlife places in Cebu City, it has something different to offer for you definitely get a good overlooking view of the city lights. You can either choose to stay outside (on the roof deck) if you want to be constantly awed by the picturesque city lights while sitting on long tables and chairs and having chat or drink with friends. Just don't forget to bring with you your coat if you can't endure the cool breeze of the night. And if you want to intensely listen to the musics played by their live bands, you may opt to stay inside. It's a real great place to unwind and relax, so check it out yourself! Here are some pieces of infos you might want to know...
1. The bar is open by 8:00pm until 2:00am or 3:00am on weekends. They are closed on Mondays. You can avail the buy 1 take 1 promo of some drinks usually beers from 8:00pm - 10:00pm, so better get off there early as you can, if you're quite tight with your budget. I found their prices reasonable though, so no worries.
2. Some of the live bands performing are Cebu's famous local bands such as The Rennaisance Band, 40 the Band and Centerfold and Serendipity Bands. A couple of these live bands will be playing every night except on Saturdays, where it's hiphop night with the DJ's, so go grab your friends if your into discos and woot woot parties.
3. They are not collecting any entrance fees but you have to abide by their dress codes if you don't want to spoil your evening. Strictly no sleeveless, shorts and slippers.
